Our family of 7 enjoyed the Dome River House so much! There was plenty of room for all of us. The space was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We did not see any roaches or related pests (thank goodness). The views were beautiful! The house is on several acres of land, and we had a great time exploring the grounds and even found a couple of fossils! The river is about a 3-minute walk downhill but well worth it. We did drive down once to bring the fishing gear and some drinks one day. There were some small fish, and my husband did catch a sun perch while we were there. The water was pretty shallow with variable depth, muck, and rocks so wasn’t great for swimming when we went. We really enjoyed using the outdoor firepit a couple of nights of our stay to make smores (we brought our own roasters). There was plenty of outdoor seating for our large group. We also loved sitting on the little perch area overlooking the great view with coffee on our last morning there. Please be aware that due to the dome construction, sound does travel a lot in the house, and the upper two bedrooms are only half-walls. The bottom two bedrooms are fully enclosed. There were a couple of suggestions we had to enhance the stay (no hot pads, wash cloths, paper towels provided in the kitchen). We cooked all of our meals and kitchen was reasonably stocked beyond those items mentioned. Two 5-gallon jugs of Ozarka drinking water with a dispenser were provided which was a great touch and just enough for our 4-day stay. Overall, it was a wonderful time and we loved staying here!
