I hesitate to give Driftwood Casitas such a glowing review because I risk making it harder to get a spot in the future! However, in full disclosure, my husband and I had a marvelous time staying at the Moonlight Casita. Everything exceeded our expectations. The lodging was clean, the decor very attractive, and the appointments (towels, bedding, etc.) were of nice quality. (I appreciated the arrangement of fresh zinnias–grown by the owners, no less–waiting for us in the kitchen.) We loved sitting on the front porch and watching the hummingbirds and cardinals as we had our morning coffee. There were well-marked walking trails on the property so we could get some exercise before lounging poolside the rest of the day. The property is gorgeous and the hosts were delightful. In fact, we booked another stay before we had even left. One word of advice if you are like me (someone who doesn’t always read all the way “to the bottom”), don’t plan on using a cook top. There isn’t one in the kitchen. There is a very nice toaster oven, a toaster, and a microwave (and of course, a coffee pot). I had planned to boil shrimp but just pivoted and broiled them in the toaster oven. Not a problem. The owners were very helpful with restaurant recommendations in the area as well. Enjoy your stay!
