Lake Life is Happy Life

This entire property is a gem! We rented Clara, Josephine and Mehta (so, cabins 4, 5 and 6) over Labor Day Weekend 2022. First, the property is located on a quiet cove, and it is stunning. A public boat ramp is a few streets over and we were grateful to not have to deal with the mess of parking, crowds, etc. on a holiday weekend. The entire time, our cabins felt private and tucked away, but if you did rent a boat, you could access it from that public ramp within a 3 minute walk. The cabins each have your own parking directly in front of your unit, and outside you’ll find your own picnic tables, chairs, and grills to use. The property is well maintained and you’ll have a great lake view, plus fantastic sunsets. We loved that the space outside was spread out enough to feel like we had the property to ourselves! All the other units were occupied and we rarely saw other guests – if we did, they felt far away and not directly in our space! Inside, the cabins are thoughtfully updated and renovated. The main room features a nice size couch, a TV, table for four, a full size fridge, microwave, and stove. We did a lot of cooking and had everything we needed – from grilling up burgers and steaks, to doing chicken nuggets in the oven for the kids. The bedroom is adorable and I love that the bunk bed featured a full size bed versus a twin – more space for the kids and for parents when you fall asleep next to them! The bathroom was cute and up to date, with everything you’d need! A thoughtful touch was the pool towels, which we were grateful for, as well as hooks outside to hang them to dry. I also appreciated several over the door hooks throughout the bedroom and bathroom so ample space to hang things up to dry. Best of all, this is a short walk down to the water. You’ll want to wear your water shoes, as the water can be rocky at first, but once you swim out 4-feet, you are able to float. We appreciated the wagon to cart our stuff down to the water – it worked great for hauling a cooler, chairs and the lilly-pad we brought with us for the kids to play on. We also found the BEST little coffee house within 5 minutes, we did some hiking on the trails at the Gorge (was awesome and great for kids), we rented a pontoon boat for the day that picked us up at the ramp by the property, and we really loved walking across the Dam in the mornings to see the sunrise and a stunning view of the entire valley. Plenty to do if you want to have some fun-filled adventures! We love lake life and would highly recommend these cabins. We’ll be returning, that’s for sure!
