We loved our stay! We rented three cabins – 4, 5, and 6, over Labor Day Weekend 2022 as a family of four, but also with 2 other families (each families of 4 as well). It was an amazing time to getaway with our dear friends and all have our own space, but also have communal space to eat together and enjoy lake life together.
The property is wonderful – it is tucked away and feels private, yet close to so much to do. While every cabin was booked, we felt like we had plenty of space and rarely saw anyone else on the property or on the trek to the lake! It is very peaceful and we loved swinging in the hammocks, enjoying the chairs and grills and spending as much time as we could outside! The kids were enthralled with the rocks and sticks and spent so much time exploring outside.
The inside of the cabins are adorable. They are thoughtfully renovated with nice touches throughout – like a really big full size top bunk/queen size bottom bunk for the kids, plenty of over the door hangers to hang items to dry, pool towels, a full size fridge, and all the amenities you’d want. Nice, clean, and modern! Oh, and the cabin has a great AC system – kept both the bedroom and the main room nice and cool which was refreshing after being in the heat.
The lake was what really made the trip special for us. Being able to walk down to the lake and enjoy coffee, swim or just spend time collecting shells was a bit hit with adults and kids alike. Millie’s has both a wagon and pool towels for you to use, which came in handy for carting our cooler, chairs and lilly-pad down to the lake.
We also enjoyed plenty of activities within 5-10 minutes from the property – we rented a pontoon boat for the day, we explored the trails at the Gorge, got coffee at the cutest local spots and loved walking over the Dam in the mornings for sunrise views that were stunning (and views of the entire valley and lake!). The grocery store was also a 4 minute drive from the property, which was really convenient.
My kids loved it, our friends loved it. We’d definitely recommend staying here again!
