Welcome to Millie’s - Josephine. Cottages maintain their original 1970’s charm, now transformed into contemporary, comfortable gems with the best sunsets in all of Canyon Lake.

Currently Canyon Lake levels are at a historic low and lake access from Millie's is limited. Please visit the MyCanyonLake website for more information under the category of lakes and rivers.

Creature comforts include:
· Queen bed and a full over queen bunk bed (sleeps 6)
· Living area with dining table, couch, WiFi, Smart TV (bring your logins), games, puzzles, books, etc.
· A cozy kitchen including Galanz fridge/freezer, electric range/oven, microwave, coffee maker (of course), blender, toaster, dishes, drinkware, flatware, knives, cooking tools, bakeware, pot holders, BBQ tools, dish soap, first aid kit, and more. Customized Yeti cups are available for purchase if you’d like to take Millie’s home with you.
· Beautiful, full bath – including towels, hairdryers, and bathing suit hangers.
· Outdoor seating area including a charcoal BBQ pit (BYO - meat, veggies, charcoal and lighter fluid), picnic table, and chairs.
· 1 wagon/cottage and beach towels.
· Parking – 2 cars/cottage or 1 car and a boat maximum.
· Proximity to Canyon Lake Boat Ramp #17 (currently closed), Canyon Lake Dam, Brookshire Brothers Grocery, Gruene, shopping, restaurants, watercraft rentals and more.

As the property boasts the perfect combination of convenience and seclusion, wild things abound. We’ve seen those that slither, sting, stink, spray and graze so be aware of your surroundings and who you share it with.

Speaking of sharing – there will be other guests on the property with you in other cottages.

*The health and safety of our guests is paramount. Cleanliness is always our top priority. We offer a 24 hour guest service contact number for emergencies and messages will be answered promptly. Arrive after four o’clock when it is convenient for you with an easy and contactless check in and out process for our guests.

AMAZING COTTAGE!

"This little cottage was perfect for our little family. The house was cold after a hot day at the lake, beds/pillows was so comfy, and very clean. The only downfall I could say is no washer/dryer and property is not pet friendly. Other than those minor things, our stay was perfect and we plan to come back!

"These cottages are adorable and perfectly set up for a small family. Great location on Canyon Lake, close to a boat dock, New Braunfels and Gruene so there is always something to do! The cottage is beautifully decorated, surrounded by lovely nature views and one of the best sunsets I’ve ever witnessed! Can not wait to stay here again! Love love love!!!

"Everything was exactly as we expected due to the wonderful pictures and the list of amenities. My teenagers were shocked at how wonderful it was. We had six sized adults and managed our space. The kitchen had everything we needed for us to eat in and Millie's is close to so many restaurants to eat out. You can't beat the location, it's a halfway point to everything on the lake. We loved it and will be coming back again. My kids didn't even feel like they had to leave. If you want R&R away from everything, Millie's has it. Just take a seat or rock in the hammock and don't think, just take in the view. It was too cold to swim, but not too cold to Hike over and over. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

"Great cottage! Exceeded expectations on comfort, cleanliness, great location, and included unexpected amenities (dedicated smoker for cookouts; hammocks, premium TV channels (if desired). Nice walking paths to the water's edge. Quiet surroundings. The ONLY thing that it was missing was a toaster in the room!

"We loved our stay! We rented three cabins - 4, 5, and 6, over Labor Day Weekend 2022 as a family of four, but also with 2 other families (each families of 4 as well). It was an amazing time to getaway with our dear friends and all have our own space, but also have communal space to eat together and enjoy lake life together. The property is wonderful - it is tucked away and feels private, yet close to so much to do. While every cabin was booked, we felt like we had plenty of space and rarely saw anyone else on the property or on the trek to the lake! It is very peaceful and we loved swinging in the hammocks, enjoying the chairs and grills and spending as much time as we could outside! The kids were enthralled with the rocks and sticks and spent so much time exploring outside. The inside of the cabins are adorable. They are thoughtfully renovated with nice touches throughout - like a really big full size top bunk/queen size bottom bunk for the kids, plenty of over the door hangers to hang items to dry, pool towels, a full size fridge, and all the amenities you'd want. Nice, clean, and modern! Oh, and the cabin has a great AC system - kept both the bedroom and the main room nice and cool which was refreshing after being in the heat. The lake was what really made the trip special for us. Being able to walk down to the lake and enjoy coffee, swim or just spend time collecting shells was a bit hit with adults and kids alike. Millie's has both a wagon and pool towels for you to use, which came in handy for carting our cooler, chairs and lilly-pad down to the lake. We also enjoyed plenty of activities within 5-10 minutes from the property - we rented a pontoon boat for the day, we explored the trails at the Gorge, got coffee at the cutest local spots and loved walking over the Dam in the mornings for sunrise views that were stunning (and views of the entire valley and lake!). The grocery store was also a 4 minute drive from the property, which was really convenient. My kids loved it, our friends loved it. We'd definitely recommend staying here again!
