Let your vacation commence at this stately two story home nestled upon gorgeous limestone rockwork offering picturesque views of sprawling hill country acreage. With three balconies guests are encouraged to relax and appreciate the Southwind breeze and beautiful views. Expertly decorated, guests are sure to admire the home's elegant decor, top-of-the-line furnishings as well as appliances. The entry offers impressive artwork of a magnificent Longhorn along with unique pieces chosen for the space. The gourmet kitchen provides clean lines and industrial fixtures creating a modern look, with a fabulous tile backsplash and rustic wood flooring giving the space a rich and warm feel. The kitchen offers state of the art appliances along with all the necessary conveniences needed to prepare savory meals. A rustic dining table with ample seating is perfect for family and friends to enjoy meals. For those visiting wineries, a built-in wine fridge is the perfect space to store vino favorites.

Three stylish bedrooms boast balcony access, as well as en-suite bathrooms. Each bedroom has its own unique ambiance, complete with carefully curated artwork, fabulous rugs, and gorgeous wood furnishings. Step inside the elegant master bedroom with an impressive scrolled king bed, beautiful linens, a relaxing reading area, a beautiful stone fireplace, and impressive artwork. The luxurious en-suite offers his-and-hers sinks, a clawfoot bathtub, and exquisite tile work. The second bedroom offers a modern feel, with sleek decor, a writing desk, queen bed, and a magnificent magenta rug. The third bedroom is styled with calming tones of blue and grey, a queen bed, unique pieces, as well as lovely artwork. Each bathroom is thoughtfully designed, with a stand up shower and ample room to freshen up for an outing. A hidden spiral staircase leads to a hidden bunk room that offers additional sleeping. With four twin beds, this roomy hideaway is the perfect space for the kids!

Throughout the home the interior features pieces that are a nod to the owners’ favorite places as well as the home’s namesake, Big Bend State Park. Cactus-inspired artwork, the longhorn skull sketch, a life-sized paint horse piece, and the giant Talavera flower pot are all reminiscent of the desert oasis of Big Bend. Warm tones and luxury furnishings adorn the living room, creating a relaxing and inviting space. No matter the weather, you’ll find yourself spending time on the patios at The Bend. The multi-level wooden decks are complete with high-quality outdoor furniture and shaded areas where you’ll experience the most amazing views in the Texas Hill Country. On a cool evening, gather around the fire pit to roast s’mores! Watch sunsets with your favorite beverage and spend a lovely evening with friends and family, telling stories and reminiscing about the day's excursions.

Spend the day in Wimberley, browsing the darling shops, delicious restaurants, and local wineries and breweries. Outdoor enthusiasts will love Jacobs Well and Blue Hole Regional Park for swimming, kayaking, and hiking trails.

Looking for an outing for the day? Take a drive to Canyon Lake and rent a boat or jet skis for a fun afternoon on the water. Check out the music calendar at Whitewater Amphitheater and rock out at a concert! Explore New Braunfels and Gruene and enjoy fabulous restaurants and live music. A day of tubing, kayaking, and rafting on the Guadalupe River is always fun. Families and children will especially love Schlitterbahn Water Park and Landa Park. Visit the over 240 shops at the San Marcos Outlet for an endless day of shopping.

Blanco has several popular attractions for outdoorsmen, historians, and foodies. Blanco State Park offers fishing, swimming, and hiking. For those interested in the historical Old West, The Buggy Barn has over 140 covered wagons. Real Ale Brewing Company offers guided tours and a taproom tasting experience.

Further down the road, spend the day exploring Fredericksburg. Travel to Wine Road 290 which offers 19 wineries, all within a few miles of each other. Visit one of Fredericksburg’s two amazing museums: the National Museum of the Pacific War and the Pioneer Museum. During the summer, make sure to stop by a fruit stand and grab some famous Fredericksburg peaches.

Delightful, spacious, clean, secluded

"clear directions to check in. really was as pretty as the pictures. There was a well-stocked kitchen, we even found some usable knives (a rarity in vacation rentals!) AC worked well in the summer heat - even on the upper floors (didn't use the loft, but seemed comfortable the afternoon we checked in). Beds were comfortable, Clear skies at night, far enough away from city lights for good star gazing. Balconies are westward facing: so you can enjoy cool & comfortable mornings in the shade right up to lunchtime (even in June!)....but they are brutally hot in the late afternoon. There are a few other buildings on the property (out of sight), but we did not see other humans all weekend. The one downside for those who like to cook - there is no proper exhaust fan over the range (just a microwave fan than circulates the heat &smoke from the stove over your head into the rest of the kitchen. this is bad news for anyone who likes to cook with high heat. We were able to circulate plenty of air by opening a few doors and windows though. Also be warned: WIFI has good coverage but very slow speeds. That's to be expected in rural locations. don't plan on streaming media or supporting multiple devices. plenty of cell phone bars though - we were able to use our phone data. I short it was everything we expected, we didn't have to contact management for anything, and everyone in our party of six was plenty comfortable and had room to spread out. Fantastic cabin in a secluded location!

"We absolutely loved this cabin! It is spacious, beautifully decorated and very clean. It sits on top of a big hill and looks out over beautiful hill country. We loved the fire pit area, the outdoor spaces and the multiple porches. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need. The cabin is very secluded with distant neighbors and is just a few minutes away from downtown Wimberly. It is a very quiet and lovely location. Highly recommend!
