Soaring over the Blanco River valley in true Spanish style, this unique property provides commanding views, ultimate privacy and sophisticated comforts. On 3+ private acres, just outside of Wimberley, Texas, this Hill Country retreat offers a variety of accommodations, including the main home, a “private” casita, and the pool cabana.

The main house, known as the Casa Grande, includes three bedrooms, 3 baths, high vaulted ceilings, and a sparkling in-ground swimming pool. In addition, the house is fully equipped with all of the conveniences of your own home, including a washer/dryer, cable T.V., a DVD player, and a 300 plus CD player. For those needing internet access, the home has an Ethernet broadband connection available as well. The Spanish-tiled roof 2-vehicle open-air carport will also come in handy on those warm Texas afternoons, providing plenty of shade and a breathtaking view of the valley below.

The freestanding “Casita” is a charming and secluded villa providing guests the ultimate in privacy and intimacy. Equipped with an abundance of amenities, the Casita comes with sitting areas, and large balcony to enjoy the morning sun or evening tranquility. Enjoy the king-size bed, bathroom with shower, cozy furnishings, and serene setting in your own private villa.

The “Cabana” is located at the pool level, downstairs from the main home. It has a private entrance and outside sitting area, kitchenette and full bath. This cozy and quaint dwelling provides privacy and a spectacular view of the river valley below. The cabana offers easy access to the swimming pool, located on the large redwood deck below.

All guests at Casa Escondida have access to the beautifully maintained swimming pool, enabling guests to survey the Blanco River valley from the spacious decks and Saltillo-tiled terrace. There is plenty of native landscaping with stone patios and walking paths throughout the property and concrete sidewalks around the house. Relax poolside, take a nap in the hammock, or just enjoy nature as you explore the hillside.

Amazing views and accommodations

"We had our kids and grandkids there for the week of Christmas. Each family had our own private space with the casita and cabana and main house which was so nice. The hot tub overlooking the beautiful vistas was one of the best memories. We did a lot of cooking and there was a good supply of dishes and utensils. Each room was decorated nicely for Christmas which made it feel very homey. Our grown kids said it felt like we were in a different country, not in Texas because the views were so amazing. Lots of stairs and hills so be aware of that. The beds were comfortable and a good supply of clean white blankets. The heating and air conditioning was more than adequate. We roasted smores at the fire pit and they had all the supplies for that in the kitchen. Overall a wonderful experience that we will remember for years.

Magnificent Vistas!

"Our family was amazed from the moment our winding drive up the hills concluded and the gate opened into the breathtaking wimberley valley views. Everyone enjoyed their accomodations in each of the well appointed rooms. We will fondly recall our afternoons passed swimming in the sparkling pool as falcons soared among us.

Perfect Getaway

"Casa Escondida is the perfect getaway with all the amenities to relax and enjoy oneself. We (3 couples) rented the property to take sometime away from our jobs while keeping Covid safe. There was definitely plenty of space as the Main House has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. The Cabana (with easiest access to the pool) was spacious and private and the Casita offered the most privacy of the three structures within the property. Our rental included all three structures and we only used the Main Casa & Cabana. The views are amazing from several spots (both balconies, swimming pool, carport). Although the weather didn’t permit for us to use the pool, the hot tub was easily accessible and an added plus. We took advantage of their BBQ grill (they have both gas and wood/charcoal) and made lunch and dinner on them during our stay. The kitchen is modern and has all the amenities you can think of. Our friend made a cake one evening and every utensil, pan, etc. needed was there. We are all coffee drinkers and their traditional coffee pot and Keurig machine was available. They even provided us with complimentary k-cups, creamer and sweeteners. There is a wine/beer fridge which kept our wine cold during our stay. The living room is spacious with a large television and access to many internet television apps. We spent many nights playing cards, reading, talking in the living room. When we needed fresh air, the balcony provided ample seating and views. As semi-frequent visitors to Wimberley, what we enjoy is the quietness of the area. We used the fire pit in the evening for drinks, s’mores and good conversation. There is no city noise at all, evenings are dark and you can see the stars. Overall, our stay was excellent. The only downsides were: trash bins were quite full so not much for room our trash, MB and Guest Room mattresses were a bit lumpy for our taste (we prefer firm). We would definitely book again and have told our family and friends about this hidden gem in Wimberley.
