Welcome to Ponderosa Getaway, a true riverfront escape set along the scenic banks of the Guadalupe River in Canyon Lake. With direct water access, multiple outdoor living spaces, and a unique layout designed for both togetherness and privacy, this 3-bedroom, 3-bath home offers an unforgettable Hill Country experience for families and friends alike.

The setting is what makes this property truly special. Step outside and follow the stone pathway down to the river, where you’ll find your own private access point complete with stone steps leading directly into the water. Whether you’re wading in, casting a line in a stretch of river known for trout stocking, or simply relaxing by the water’s edge, this is riverfront living at its best. A stone patio near the shoreline features a firepit for evenings under the stars, while multiple decks and seating areas provide plenty of space to soak in the views.

The main level of the home is bright, open, and designed for gathering. The kitchen flows seamlessly into the living and dining areas and is fully equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, electric stove and ovens, microwave, dishwasher, toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker, and granite countertops. A breakfast bar with seating for two offers additional space for casual meals or conversation.

The dining area features a large farmhouse table with seating for up to ten guests, perfectly positioned to take in river views and access the back deck. The living room is warm and inviting, with a plush sofa, two leather accent chairs, a large streaming TV, and even a play tent for younger guests—making it a space everyone can enjoy.

Each bedroom offers its own unique charm and flexibility. Just off the living room, bedroom one includes a full-sized bed with a twin trundle, an accent chair, and a private ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Near the entryway, bedroom two features a queen bed framed by windows with river views and its own ensuite bathroom, also with a walk-in shower.

The third bedroom is a unique feature of the home. Located downstairs with its own private exterior entrance, it functions as a self-contained efficiency space—perfect for guests who want a little extra privacy. This flexible room includes a full-sized Murphy bed and a cleverly hidden twin-over-twin bunk bed, allowing the space to transform from sleeping quarters to a cozy seating area with bench seating. It also features a kitchenette with a four-burner range, oven, microwave, drip coffee maker, dining area, and a streaming TV.

Just outside this lower-level suite, the third bathroom adds a fun and unexpected touch with its charming robin’s egg blue clawfoot tub and shower. Set on a raised platform, the space offers a quirky yet functional design that adds personality to the home.

Outdoor living is where Ponderosa Getaway truly shines. The expansive upper deck overlooks the river and provides a peaceful place to relax with morning coffee or unwind in the evening. The lower patio features a swing with river views, and an additional deck in the yard offers even more space to gather or spread out. The large yard is perfect for kids to play, while the surrounding trees and open sky create a serene, natural setting.

The location is equally appealing. Directly across the street is Little Ponderosa River Outfitters, making it incredibly easy to rent tubes or kayaks for a day on the water. Nearby attractions include the scenic Canyon Lake Gorge, live music at Whitewater Amphitheater, and family fun at Schlitterbahn Waterpark. Hiking, fishing, dining, and exploring the Hill Country are all just a short drive away.
