Southern Cross is a one story wonder nestled deep in the Wimberley valley. This newly renovated stunner offers rustic yet refined seclusion with acres of wild beauty at your disposal. Southern Cross has a stocked catch and release pond, outdoor kitchen with convenient screened in dining area, and an in ground fire pit with intimate seating. Inside you will find a beautiful open floor plan decorated in high end cattle baron grandeur.
The kitchen is a rustic masterpiece. Redone in wood, rock, and aluminium it offers full size stainless steel appliances double oven and a unique stone cook top with bar seating for three. The three bedrooms offer three different sleeping experiences. One bedroom has two twin size bunk beds arranged in a sleep-away camp style with room enough for four. The second has a cozy queen size antique metal frame bed. Subtle cowboy accents adorn this special room. Finally, the stately master suite has a king size bed with beautiful wooden bed frame, two plush baby blue velvet chairs, and private access to the outdoors.
With Southern Cross you can enjoy an idyllic stroll along the banks of the pond, grill your favorite meal under the stars, or relax by the fire. Whatever activity you choose you are guaranteed to be at the crossroads of sensational and serene.

Very relaxing time at Southern Cross

"Just my wife and I for a relaxing getaway and loved Southern Cross. Very quiet, beautiful views, and a true, Texas Hill Country home. We spent almost all our time on the back porch relaxing, reading and enjoying the view. Ate almost all our meals on the porch. If you choose to go out to a restaurant, you are equal distance between Wimberly and Blanco. Good wi-fi signal, and cell service is ok. Home was clean, everything we needed was there. Highly recommend!

What a charming place! We loved sitting outside the grand porch. Had the sweetest little Fox visits. It was really enjoyable cooking in the kitchen. The place was very clean & comfortable. I’d go again & highly recommend Southern Cross

"Wonderfully decorated. Charming home & beautiful setting. Although, we went in the heat of summer, we still enjoyed the lovely mornings & evenings on the grand porch under the ceiling fans. We enjoyed watching the wildlife. We will come back. Highly recommend Southern Cross

"We had a wonderful and relaxing time while staying at the Southern Cross. It exceeded our expectations in size and amenities. We would suggest, though, that housekeeping be a little more detailed in their dusting, etc. Conditions weren't bad but it was obvious that some preparations had been skipped. Also would recommend that the coffee maker be replaced and the same for some light fixtures that were out. Would certainly stay there again without hesitation.

Beautiful Place To Just Breathe

"Just returned from 4 days in Wimberley at the Southern Cross house. What a relaxing weekend. The house is so much bigger than the pictures show it to be. The open floor plan with huge windows giving you a gorgeous view of the Texas hill country is not done justice by the photos. The location is pretty close to plenty of touristy things to do. Wineries, breweries, shopping, nature parks, and site seeing. The house itself has almost everything you need. I loved cooking in the large open kitchen. Dine indoors or at 2 complete outdoor tables. After that you can relax by the fire pit, go soak in the hot tub, or just sit on the porch and enjoy the view. This house is definitely on our short list of places we will stay at again. The only things I would like is for the hot tub to get a little hotter. We were barely able to get it close to 100. Plus having WiFi would be nice. Being in sales I can never fully unplug, even on vacation. I highly recommend this house, and will return.

Peaceful Retreat

"We spent the 4th of July holiday weekend and were not disappointed. The home was very clean and check in was simple. It was extremely peaceful and we loved watching the wildlife from the back porch. Grandkids even did some fishing in the pond. The hot tub was great for the grownups and kids! HCPL was easy to work with and were even able to accomadate an early check in for us. Thank you very much!

Beautiful home

"We enjoyed our week-long stay! The house is beautiful and comfortable and very clean. The exterior spaces are great for hanging out, we really enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. The back porch is huge with a great view of the property. The location is great - only about 15 minutes into Wimberly, but also close to Fredricksburg, Blanco, and Gruene. We enjoyed exploring the area's wineries and breweries. Wish we had another week to spend at the house relaxing!
