This lovely one bedroom one bath has all the amenities one could need for a weekend getaway. Upon entering you will be greeted with a charming living area with a cozy lavender sofa and chair. Enjoy a flat screen television where you can relax and watch a movie. Find a fully stocked kitchen with a conventional oven/stove, full refrigerator and microwave everything one would need for a romantic dinner for two.

Sleep soundly in a field of lavender in the comfortable queen size bed. When you are ready to go out on the town, tidy up in the luxurious full bathroom with a walk in shower and large vanity.

Take a hike and enjoy your surroundings where you will find a wet weather creek, as well as beautiful views of the hill country. Relax with a glass of wine while bird watching on the front porch or play a game of horseshoes located just across the way.

If you are looking for an outing there are many fun things to do only minutes away. Enjoy winery's, shopping or dining in the Wimberley town square; or if you are on the more adventurous side, zip lining, exploring Jacobs Well or swimming at Blue Hole Regional Park. Only 30 minutes away, spend the day in New Braunfels, Gruene or Canyon Lake, for a day shopping, dining or water activities.

Lavender is perfect for those who love the outdoors or who want a quiet romantic weekend getaway.

"It is very small, really just enough room for two people. Very clean, quiet, private and nice. We didn't see any other people around during our stay but did get to see a few deer on our last morning.

"Cottage was warm and cozy..we were thrilled to see all the deer in the area,including a porcupine and a small fox, crossing the rode,when coming back @ night. The Hill country area is beautiful. Our first time there..will definitely return!

Beautiful surroundings, well appointed mini-getaway

"5 stars all around! My wife and I did a mini-honeymoon to Wimberley and stayed here. As you pull in you will approach the end of a small road, you see the gravel/mulch driveway and continue down. You will drive forward and see the rental unit on the right - cute front porch with rocking chairs. On the left, in front of a shed, is a small parking area - enough for one or two cars. The horseshoe game pit is next to this area. Beyond the horsehoe pit is a breathtaking viewpoint into the wet-weather washout / river canyon. Great spot for sunrise or sunset. At the rental unit, you enter into a small living / kitchen, fully appointed and comfortable. The bedroom is off to the side through a large door, and includes a comfy bed with amazing soft sheets. Inside the bedroom there is a door to the bathroom which includes a large walk in shower and a single vanity. The shower had great hot water, great water pressure. Outside, there is the front porch as well as a small, rocky side yard that is fenced and gated. Beyond the rental property and next to the owners house is a wide, mulched trail leading down through the forested area and down to the canyon. There are stone stairs leading down into the canyon which feels like a "fairy trail" according to my wife - "very naturey". The dog loved it. We explored the canyon for a bit. Nearby is downtown Wimberley, maybe 20 minutes away. We also found Blue Hole Park which was great to walk the dog on woodsy trails that were fairly private. This helped to tire out our dog before going downtown for a glass of wine and some lunch. Another great spot is Wimberley Valley Winery which was roughly 20 minutes from this rental - they have live music on Saturdays, and a pizza truck that is pretty good. Also dog friendly. This rental is an amazing value; well appointed, great scenery, perfectly comfortable stay. Very private feel to it despite sharing a driveway with the owners house - and privacy was (rightfully!) a concern for our honeymoon and it turned out to not be an issue at all. 5 stars.

"Very quite place. Had everything I needed for a 10 night stay. Hummingbirds zoom around the feeder. At the end of a road so no traffic or headlights.

"This property was so cute! Smelled amazing when we walked in. Bed was so comfortable, which was amazing because that is normally not the case with staying somewhere other than your own house. The path to the blanco river was awesome! So pretty. Everything in the house worked perfectly, full kitchen, regular sized refrigerator for long term stay. Just outside of downtown wimberley so your not stuck in all the traffic but also close enough to enjoy downtown. The house is a must stay.

"I was unsure at first. But it was really nice. Bed was comfortable. Ac worked and hot water worked. It was like home away from home. Only cons I saw. Don't bother going down the trail to the blanco river, it's bone dry. If you don't have at&t as a phone provider, you won't get any service. The wifi doesn't work. But if you are looking to avoid electronics and phones this the spot. Beautiful scenery, quiet, can breath, and lots of deer. Plenty of small towns in the area too. I will definitely come back to this spot in the future
