This adorable 2 bedroom/1.5 bathroom cottage can comfortably accommodate couples, a small group of friends, or a small family. If traveling in a larger group, check out the other homes on the property to rent all together (Sunflower Ridge Bungalow and Sunflower Ridge Cabin). With cozy furnishings, charming decor, and brightly colored walls, this cottage is reminiscent of sunshine on a field of sunflowers!
Step into the home from the adorable front porch into the entry living area. These beautiful chairs and leather sofa provide the perfect place for conversation and laughter with friends and family. Through this room lies the media room with a comfy couch and t.v., great for a classic movie night. Pop some popcorn and snuggle up to watch a family favorite!
The kitchen is fully stocked and provides everything you may need, whether preparing a full meal or an afternoon snack. After a fun day of fishing on the river, use the grill outside to cook your catch of the day and prepare yummy side dishes in the kitchen. Enjoy your delicious feast in the breakfast nook, or take your plates outside to eat at the outdoor dining area with wicker furniture. The owners have provided both a Keurig and traditional coffee maker for your convenience. After visiting one of the many local wineries, store your favorites in the wine rack to be opened for a relaxing glass on the porch.
The adorable bedrooms at Sunflower Ridge Cottage provide soft linens, warm quilts, and plenty of storage for your personal items. Large windows let in warm natural light that beautifully compliments the original hardwood floors. The master bedroom offers access to an en-suite half bathroom. The full bathroom follows the sunny theme of the home and offers fluffy towels. There is behind-the-mirror storage for your toiletries, but don’t forget to check for left items when you leave!
Outside, you will love the open spaces and quiet ambience, away from the city. This Hill Country oasis is beautiful year-round, and Sunflower Ridge is a wonderful place to soak it in. Enjoy roasting s’mores around the campfire, or just cozy up with some blankets to keep warm on a cool night. For a dose of luxury, pour a glass of wine and relax outside. Make sure to look up at the night sky to view the magnificent Hill Country stars. On a pleasant day, sink into the hammock for a cat nap and listen as the breeze passes by.

Whether you’re an outdoorsman or a shopaholic, there is so much to do in San Marcos! Float the spring-fed San Marcos River. Head over to the Meadows Center and hop on the glass-bottom boat tour for a closer look and a unique perspective of the beautiful river. Visit the over 240 shops at the outlet mall for a day of endless shopping. Hike the trails at Purgatory Creek Natural Area and take in the beauty.
Looking for an outing for the day? Take a drive to Canyon Lake and rent a boat or jet skis for a fun afternoon on the water. Check out the music calendar at Whitewater Amphitheater and rock out at a concert! Explore New Braunfels and Gruene and enjoy fabulous restaurants and live music. A day of tubing, kayaking, and rafting on the Guadalupe River is always fun. Families and children will especially love Schlitterbahn Water Park and Landa Park.
Spend the day in Wimberley, browsing the darling shops, delicious restaurants, and local wineries and breweries. Outdoor enthusiasts will love Jacobs Well and Blue Hole Regional Park for swimming, kayaking, and hiking trails. Blanco has several popular attractions for outdoorsmen, historians, and foodies. Blanco State Park offers fishing, swimming, and hiking. For those interested in the historical Old West, The Buggy Barn has over 140 covered wagons. Real Ale Brewing Company offers guided tours and a taproom tasting experience.
Further down the road, spend the day exploring Fredericksburg. Travel to Wine Road 290 which offers 19 wineries, all within a few miles of each other. Visit one of Fredericksburg’s two amazing museums: the National Museum of the Pacific War and the Pioneer Museum. During the summer, make sure to stop by a fruit stand and grab some famous Fredericksburg peaches.
In Kerrville, Schreiner Park is located on 517 acres along the Guadalupe River, where you can swim, rent boats, or explore hiking trails. The Museum of Western Art and the Pollinator Museum are fun and interesting for all ages. Indulge in one of the fabulous restaurants while listening to local artists’ music.
